Taisamlu F5 Mandocello
This instrument is a hybrid between the mandolin and the cello, it has eight strings and deep tones. It was used during the beginning of the XXth century to play the bass part with mandolin orchestras, a favorite of those times. This mandocello is able either to play with lyricism or to give a more staight and punchy sound. The top is made out of spruce and the back and side are in Koa wood. It is beautifully decorated with mother of pearl and abalone. Made in Vietnam in 2015.
